Coronavirus in Colombia: 306,181 confirmed cases and 10,330 deaths

The Ministry of Health indicated that of the total of 306,181 infected with COVID-19 in Colombia, 134,498 are active cases.

In the last 24 hours, 10,673 positive for coronavirus were registered.

Antioquia (2,986), Bogotá (2,699) Valle del Cauca (968) and Cundinamarca (480) are the places with the most new infections.

The number of deaths from COVID-19 in Colombia rose to 10,330.

Of the fatalities, 103 had no comorbidities and 2 were children: one was 9 years old in Chinú, Córdoba, and the other was 10 in Sabanalarga, Atlántico.

Bogotá (80), Cundinamarca (29), Santander (22) and Valle del Cauca (17) and Antioquia (16) top the list of deaths from coronavirus in the last day.

Today 36,050 tests were processed. The number of recovered is 160,708.

As a measure to confront the pandemic, President Iván Duque ordered mandatory isolation throughout Colombia from March 24 to April 13. Then decided to extend it until August 30but with a long list of exceptions.

Authorities insist on practicing a suitable handwashing, maintain social distance, use antibacterial gels, take care of the vulnerable population and respect the preventive isolation measures of each city. #It’s in your hands
