Unclear situation in Neustadt / Dosse
There is obviously a competence leak in Neustadt / Dosse (Ostprignitz-Ruppin) in northern Brandenburg, as our Potsdam colleague Marion Kaufmann reports from the “Potsdam Latest News ”. A total of 730 pupils from the local Prince von Homburg school in Neustadt / Dosse, the teachers and other employees, as well as their families, are in domestic isolation at the instruction of the district health department. This was ordered because teachers from the comprehensive school in the small town had contact with a Coronavirus -infected Berliner.
The comprehensive school, which includes an elementary and special school, and two boarding schools were closed. The school is attended by students from all over Germany – because the state stud also offers horse sport as a subject.
The spokesman for the district, Alexander von Uleniecki, was unable to explain what pupils who do not live in the immediate vicinity of the school should do on request. He cannot answer whether parents have to pick up the pupils, travel options are organized and how many pupils have their homes further away. The Ministry of Health in Potsdam, in turn, refers to the fact that the district health office is responsible for ordering the measures.
According to estimates by the official director of Neustadt / Dosse, Dieter Fuchs, a total of between 4,000 and 5,000 people – including people from all over Germany – are in quarantine as a precaution. The spokesman for the district did not confirm these figures on request.

Corona virus questionnaire – but no one is responsible
Hotlines, contact points, quarantine: The corona virus is currently pushing the Berlin administration to its limits. A couple of pensioners from the surrounding area of Brandenburg got to feel this on Saturday evening at Tegel Airport, where it landed with an Easyjet flight from Rome.
At check-in, the couple had been given so-called “exit cards” – with instructions to fill them out. The husband told my colleague Maria Hentschel on the phone that the questions were very detailed. Among other things, everyone had to provide a contact person for an emergency. The on-board personnel collected the notes. After landing in Berlin, the announcement came that the passengers should remain on the plane until an official picked up the documents. But nobody came. Instead, every single passenger was asked for his name when he got out and his document was returned. Now the passengers should hand over their notes to a responsible official, the husband reported. But on the way through the terminal, the couple did not meet anyone who was responsible for receiving the notes.
Now the man is sitting in Brandenburg and still has his exit card on that Robert Koch Institute website the documents are described in more detail. “We find it really shocking what happened there,” he comments in an interview with Tagesspiegel. The pensioners have now put themselves in quarantine. You want to stay at home for ten days.–

In the new people’s newsletter from Treptow-Köpenick, our colleague Thomas Loy reports how the fight against the coronavirus strains the entire administration. “Parts of the district are paralyzed,” said Mayor Oliver Igel (SPD). Many employees from other departments would help out in the health department. “Dressing teams” and “tracking teams” were formed. The employees are on the go in protective suits in three teams to take saliva samples from residents who have had contact with infected people. The “followers” telephone contacts to ask them to take a test and stay in quarantine at home. The district is still doing well: In Treptow-Köpenick, there has not yet been a single infected person.
