Stuttgart – The number of new corona infections per 100,000 inhabitants within a week has risen slightly despite the continued lockdown in Baden-Württemberg and is at the critical threshold of 50. According to the state health office in Stuttgart, the number of confirmed new infections rose from Saturday (as of Saturday 4:00 p.m.) at 987. The number of those who died of or with Corona rose by 8. Almost half of the urban and rural districts – 19 of the 44 – are above the limit of 50 reported cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 7 days. The district of Schwäbisch Hall had the highest value with 142.3.

After the decline in the number of cases from Christmas to mid-February, a slight increase in the number of new infections transmitted can be observed from calendar week 7, according to the current management report. A good month ago, the 7-day incidence was just under 90, and just before Christmas it was over 200.

The number of all cases in the southwest since the pandemic began rose to 316,539. The number of people who died with or from Sars-CoV-2 rose to 8063. 295,016 people are considered recovered.
