The Ministry of Health reported 7482 new cases of Covid-19, just 31 cases less than the record of infections registered yesterday, so the total positives in the country rose to 235.677. Of the infections reported in the last day, the province of Buenos Aires registered almost 70% of the total. The confirmed fatalities in the last 24 hours were 160 and the total number of fatal cases amounts to 4,411.
The figures for the total occupancy of beds in the Intensive Care Unit remain stable, despite the level of 7 thousand cases that the country registered in recent days, with a 56.5% nationally and 66% in the AMBA, figures even slightly lower than those reported a day ago. Meanwhile, the occupation of therapy beds with Covid-19 patients continues to increase and reached 1,293, 48 more than 24 hours ago.
While no new records were recorded at the national level, the province of Buenos Aires registered a record of new cases with 5,200 new positives in the last day. That meant 69% of the total infections reported today. Another figure that continues to increase is that of “community circulation” cases, which now reaches 56.7% of the total cases reported throughout the country.
Meanwhile, the City of Buenos Aires registered a slight drop in cases by reporting 1237 new infections in the last day. It was also the case of Río Negro with 105 cases, less than half of the 222 infections reported yesterday, when it set a provincial record and was the province with the most cases outside the focus of the pandemic.
In Jujuy, where the situation is critical
, 70 cases were reported, a similar figure to that registered a day ago. While in San Juan, which on Monday will be the first province with back to school
, zero new cases were registered.
In the morning report they had reported 40 new deaths
, which are added to the 120 confirmed in the second report of the day. There were 80 men: 56 residents in the province of Buenos Aires; 12 residents in the City of Buenos Aires (CABA); 1 resident in the province of Chaco; 5 residents in the province of Córdoba; 1 resident in the province of Entre Ríos; 2 residents in the province of Mendoza; 1 resident in the province of Neuquén; 2 residents in the province of Salta.
The deaths of 40 women were also mourned: 22 residents in the province of Buenos Aires; 11 residents in the City of Buenos Aires (CABA); 2 residents in the province of Chaco; 4 residents in the province of Córdoba; 1 resident in the province of Río Negro.
