The man worked on Monday and Tuesday, but then stopped working due to his symptoms of illness. On Thursday he appeared in the UKE and tested positive for the corona virus. “The patient is currently in stable condition with domestic isolation,” it said. All of the man’s contact persons are currently being informed and tested for the pathogen.
Children and parents who would have had close contact with him must be in quarantine in the UKE or at home for 14 days. Employees would also have to be tested and isolated at home. “There are no new admissions at the affected station,” the message said.

How many people were affected by the quarantine and isolation was initially not clear. Further information will be given at a press conference on Friday.
Also in Hesse a first case of the coronavirus was detected. A person in the Lahn-Dill district was affected, the district said. The Hessian Ministry of Social Affairs did not want to publish any further information on the case during the night, but a press conference is scheduled to take place on Friday.
There was more earlier in the evening 14 cases in North Rhine-Westphalia and four other cases in Baden-Württemberg have been confirmed.
