Coronavirus: Dakar, still capital of the virus with more than 9,000 cases

The Dakar region recorded 9,055 patients diagnosed positive for the coronavirus (Covid-19), according to statistics published on the platform of the Ministry of Health and Social Action and updated this Friday, August 21.

These patients are mainly found in the health districts of Dakar-Ouest (1,879), Dakar-Center (1,830), Dakar-Sud (1,663) and Dakar-Nord (1,336).

Other districts

These four districts most affected respectively by the spread of the coronavirus disease in the region are followed by Guédiawaye, in the suburbs, with (572) patients on the counter, Mbao (463), Rufisque (355), Keur Massar (274) , Pikine (207), Sangalkam (187), Diamniadio (158) Yeumbeul (131).

Cases identified in Senegal

Senegal has recorded 12,689 positive cases, including 8,165 cured, 262 deaths, according to the report published on Wednesday by the health authorities. 4,261 patients are under treatment.
