After PSA, which stopped its production chains this morning in Sochaux, the leather goods manufacturer Hermès will gradually close its 42 production sites in France.
“We were asked to stay at home until the end of the month”, confirms to us this Tuesday morning an internal source. In Nord Franche-Comté Hermès has three factories in Allenjoie (Doubs), Seloncourt (Doubs) and Héricourt (Haute-Saône).

According to our information, several employees have already switched to teleworking. Others still remain on the production sites, whose shutdown is gradual or partial.

“Throughout this period and in addition to the legal provisions, we will maintain the salaries of our employees”, says Hermès.
The group also announces that it “think” the possibility of using its Vaudreuil (Eure) site to “produce hydroalcoholic gel which France really needs”.
