Keep climbing the number of daily infections in France, which today exceeded 6,000 for the first time in recent months. According to the Paris Ministry of Health they are 6,111 new infections from Covid-19 recorded in the last 24 hours, the highest number since the end of the lockdown and the second ever since the beginning of the emergency, after the 7,578 cases announced on March 30th. The new data leads to 259,698 confirmed infections.

Number of record swabs
The Directorate General of Health announced that it had carried out in the last week 864,395 swabs, also a record figure. The number of hospitalized patients is still decreasing, falling by 65 units compared to two days ago, and that of serious patients in resuscitation (29 fewer than on 25 August, for a total of 381). the total is now 30,576.
