Coronavirus: 147 deaths and new record of 7,513 infections – News story

A new record occurred this Thursday when registering 7,513 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours in the country, for what they accumulate 228,195 sick, while 147 deaths were confirmed and there are already 4,251 deaths by Covid-19, as reported by the Ministry of Health of the Nation.

According to the afternoon report of the health portfolio there were 116 deaths: 62 men, 45 residents in the province of Buenos Aires; 11 in the City of Buenos Aires; four in Chaco; two in Río Negro; and 53 women, 30 residents in the province of Buenos Aires; 17 in the City of Buenos Aires; two in Mendoza; one in Neuquén; two in Río Negro; and one in Santa Cruz.

Meanwhile, a person reported as deceased resident in the province of Buenos Aires does not record sex data.

Another 31 deaths were recorded in the morning report: 21 are men, of whom 15 were residents of the province of Buenos Aires; three in the City of Buenos Aires; one in Chaco; one in Tucumán; and one in Tierra del Fuego; and 10 women, six were from the province of Buenos Aires; one from CABA; one from Neuquén; and two from Tierra del Fuego.

Of the total cases, 1,127 (0.5%) are imported, 62,150 (27.2%) are close contacts of confirmed cases, 128,781 (56.4%) are cases of community circulation and the rest are under epidemiological investigation.

Total there are 1,245 patients hospitalized for coronaviruses in the different intensive care units (ICU) of the country, while the percentage of total bed occupancy in adult ICUs is 56.6 percent in the nation and 66.5 percent in the AMBA, according to the information reported by the different jurisdictions.

Of the 7,513 new cases, 4,987 are from the province of Buenos Aires, 1,446 from the City of Buenos Aires, 222 from Río Negro, 144 from Córdoba, 141 from Santa Fe, 117 from Mendoza, 71 from Jujuy, 67 from Tierra del Fuego , 59 from Entre Ríos, 53 from Neuquén, 47 from Chaco, 42 from Salta, 40 from La Rioja, 30 from Tucumán, 21 from Santa Cruz, 10 from Santiago del Estero, 7 from Chubut, 5 from La Pampa, 4 from Corrientes , 1 from Formosa and 1 from Misiones.

To this total, one patient must be subtracted from San Juan and one from San Luis because they are provinces that reclassified their cases to other jurisdictions according to place of residence.
