Coronavirus, 1,283 new positives and 69 deaths

Since the beginning of the Coronavirus epidemic, 166,327 positive cases have been recorded in Emilia Romagna, 1,283 more than yesterday, out of a total of 6,066 swabs performed in the last 24 hours. The percentage of new positives on the number of swabs made since yesterday is 21.1%.
However, it should be remembered that the data relating to the proportion of tampons made / new positives is not significant on holidays, when much fewer tampons are made than all the others. On holidays, in fact, tampons are carried out in the most necessary cases, in the presence of symptoms or situations in which a positive outcome is often expected. It cannot therefore be taken as data relating to a general trend: it is in fact a small sample, very specific and linked above all to cases in which swabbing is strictly essential. 1,014 serological tests and 831 rapid swabs were also performed. The control and prevention activity continues: of the newly infected, 645 are asymptomatic identified as part of the regional contact tracing and screening activities.
The contagion situation in the provinces sees Bologna with 279 new cases, Modena with 254 and Rimini (211); followed by Reggio Emilia (138) and Ravenna (133); Cesena (99) and Imola (72). Then Ferrara (35), Forlì (33) and Piacenza (26), finally Parma (3).

The active cases are 58,175 (888 more than yesterday). Of these, 55,356 people (+913) are in isolation at home, more than 95% of the total. There are 69 new deaths: 23 in the province of Bologna (13 women respectively aged 53, two aged 78, then 80, 81, 83, 85, 86, 89, 90, 91, 93 and 94 years; 10 men: one of 70, two of 72, two of 73, then 75, 87, 88, 91 and 93 years), 10 in Piacenza (a woman of 81 years and 9 men of 62, 65, 66, 75, 77, 79, 80, 85 and 93 years), 10 in Modena (seven women of 42, 81, 86, 89, 92, 96, 100 years and three men, of which one of 79 and two of 85 years), 10 in Ravenna (four women of 46, 82, 84 and 89 years and six men of 70, 74, 79, 85, 86 and 92 years); 4 in the province of Reggio Emilia (three women, one of which 88 and two of 93 and a man of 82), 3 in Parma (a woman of 89 and two men of 81 and 86), 3 in Rimini (three women aged 75, 87 and 89), 2 in Forlì-Cesena (two men aged 62 and 93), 2 in the province of Ferrara (a woman of 90 and a man of 86) and 2 from outside Emilia-Romagna (a 70-year-old woman who died in Bologna and one of 93 who died in Rimini).
