For virologist Steven Van Gucht it’s no surprise that Pfizer/Biontech’s corona vaccine seems to work well in young children as well. “Children have an immune system that, like their brains, is flexible and learns quickly,” explains Van Gucht in “The world today” on Radio 1. “Most vaccines, such as against measles or polio, are also administered to young children. these are usually the most successful vaccines.”
