Corona survey: Good grades for Kurz and Merkel – Macron the weakest

In the countries most affected by the corona pandemic, governments have received the most criticism of their actions. According to this, Italians, British and French give their political leadership the worst marks. Was rated the worst France president Emmanuel Macron: He just got the grade 4.1. The British prime minister Boris Johnson came to 5.6, his Italian colleague Giuseppe Conte to 5.5 and the Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven to an even worse value of 5.2.

Optimists and pessimists

People judge the future prospects of their countries accordingly: 43 percent of the French are pessimistic and only twelve percent are optimistic; in Italy 34 percent are more pessimistic, in Great Britain 29 percent and in Sweden 21 percent. In Germany are only 19 percent pessimistic and in Austria 13 percent. New Zealand again scores best with only six percent.
