No more mulled wine “to go” from today in Lower Saxony
No more mulled wine stands in public space in Lower Saxony: The ban on the sale of alcohol for consumption outside is already taking effect today. The State Chancellery in Hanover announced this on Friday evening with the publication of the new Corona regulation. The sale of alcoholic beverages such as mulled wine or punch for direct consumption in glasses or disposable cups is prohibited, also for the catering trade, retail trade and all private areas. “The background is that a presentation of alcohol that invites immediate consumption, above all, brings with it the significantly increased risk of large gatherings”, it said in the message.
