Last weekend, the Easternijtsjerk church broadcasted the service live for the first time, with a new video and sound system. “That is very nice, because we are called upon to have as few people in the church as possible.”
Since the start of the second wave, Omrop Fryslân has also been sending out church services on Sunday mornings, for people who now prefer not to physically attend church. Tens of thousands of people watch it every week. In consultation with the Frisian Council of Churches and the Crossroads Foundation, Omrop has decided to broadcast the church services live until the end of this year.
Tomorrow the service will come from the Grote Kerk in Leeuwarden, led by Christine Schlette. The service starts at 10 am and can be seen live on television and on omropfryslan.nl. The service will be repeated at 12 noon. All services are can also be viewed online.
