In the past 24 hours, 33 new corona patients have been admitted to Brabant hospitals. In total, there are now 419 corona patients in the Brabant hospitals, five more than 24 hours ago. Nine corona patients have died in the past 24 hours. Two have been transferred and 25 corona patients have been released from the hospital.

The police arrested two people on Saturday night around half past twelve in Uddel, Gelderland. They were at a dance party with about twenty adults. The police approached reports of noise pollution. Then those present turned against the agents who wanted to stop the nuisance and violation of the corona measures. The group threw things at the officers. After a cop drew his service weapon, a number of partygoers ran away.

10.45 – Police put an end to illegal parties
The police put an end to illegal parties in several places in the country on Saturday evening. In Haastrecht in South Holland, the police ended a party in a company building that was furnished with party lighting and a bar. About twenty people attended this illegal party.

In Rotterdam, the police discovered an illegal party in a commercial building on Benthemstraat. “On the fifth floor of the company building, the windows were covered with garbage bags. Inside, officers found a party where all imaginable drinks were available,” said a police spokesman.

In Limburg, the police went to a rave party in the woods near the village of Koningsbosch. According to a police spokeswoman, it turned out on the spot that a party was taking place on German territory, after which the German police were called up.

At the start of the corona vaccination campaign in a number of European countries, the European police force warns Europol against fraudsters. “There is a real danger that criminals will try to exploit the enormous demand for corona vaccines,” director Catherine De Bolle told German newspapers on Sunday. According to her, there are concrete indications for this: “Advertising is already being done on social networks. Those who agree to it either receive nothing at all after payment, or they receive fake vaccines.”

A large number of countries within the European Union will start vaccinating citizens against the corona virus on Sunday. The first vaccines were already administered in Germany, Hungary and Slovakia on Saturday. The vaccination campaign will start on Sunday in Italy, France, Spain and Greece. Romania, the Czech Republic, Cyprus and Austria also put the first shots on Sunday. The Netherlands will follow on January 8.
