As of Saturday lunchtime, more than 93,000 people had an appointment for the first stab, which means that 58 percent of the population is either vaccinated or scheduled for it. A quarter of the vaccinable people in O have full vaccination protection, reported the crisis team in a press release.
Due to the general prioritization of risk groups, the rate for people over 65 is 83 percent. 72 percent of those over 45 are vaccinated. The rate is lowest in the 15- to 24-year-old age group at 36 percent, which corresponds to 58,000 young people in this category.
Progress in vaccination decides on relaxation
More than 32,000 free vaccination appointments are currently available until July 23 on the Upper Austrian vaccination platform. “Should more vaccination doses arrive, we can continue up the vaccination routes at any time,” said LH deputy health officer Christine Haberlander (VP). It also depends on the progress of vaccination whether the relaxation can be continued into autumn.
