Corona lockdown in November: do hairdressers have to close again now?

The federal and state governments have agreed on another lockdown in the fight against COVID-19. Many businesses will have to close on November 2nd. Do hairdressers also count?

  • On Wednesday the federal and state governments met massive restrictions of public life agreed to the rapidly growing numbers of infections with the Corona-Virus* to stop.
  • Many businesses such as restaurants, cinemas or fitness studios have to close from November 2nd until the end of the month.
  • Hairdressers remain open – under strict conditions.

Update from October 29th: On Wednesday, the federal and state governments met at one „Lockdown light“ agreed in the fight against the corona pandemic. In order to cope with the increasing number of infections, many companies are to be closed from next Monday to the end of November. These include bars and restaurants as well as tattoo and fitness studios, Cosmetic studios, massage practices and cinemas. The good news: Hairdressers are not affected by the closings, they can remain open. However, only under the existing hygiene requirements, as they have been in place since May 4th.

Mask requirement and minimum distance at the hairdresser
