Corona: Incidence is falling and Lower Saxony is loosening up | NDR.de – news

As of: 06/20/2021 1:51 p.m.

The state government updated the Lower Saxony Corona Ordinance at an early stage. From Monday, significant easing for incidences below 10 will come into effect – the so-called level zero.

A change is already in place: In all districts and urban districts with a constant incidence below 35, ten people from up to ten households are allowed to meet “this weekend”, as government spokeswoman Anke Pörksen announced on Friday. In addition, fully vaccinated, convalescent and children under 14 years of age can take part in a meeting without being counted.

Rules for stable incidents below 10:

  • Are indoors private meetings allowed with up to 25 people, in the open air with up to 50 people. This does not include children of these people up to and including the age of 14, people who have been completely vaccinated and recovered, as well as accompanying persons and caregivers of people with a significant disability or need for care.
  • Meetings and celebrations with more than 25 people in closed rooms or more than 50 people in the open air are possible if the person responsible for the celebration ensures that all participants can demonstrate a negative test, are fully vaccinated or have recovered. Children up to and including 14 years of age do not need to be tested.
  • At Meetings, gatherings and events The distance requirement and mask requirement do not apply if no more than 25 people are involved inside and no more than 50 people take part outdoors. For larger meetings, the requirement to keep one’s distance and inside also the mask requirement applies, as long as no seat has been taken. The hygiene rules do not apply if all participants have tested negative, have been completely vaccinated or have recovered. The organizer must record the data in order to be able to follow up contacts.
  • City tours and guided tours through nature and landscapes are permitted without restriction. Neither a distance nor a mask are required.
  • Tourist boat, carriage, bus and cable car rides need a hygiene concept. A mask is required at the seat; if the minimum distance is observed, it does not apply.
  • At tourist overnight stays a negative corona test only needs to be proven upon arrival
  • At closed celebrations in gastronomy there are no person restrictions. For celebrations of 25 or more people indoors and 50 or more people outdoors, people who have not been fully vaccinated or who have recovered must present a negative test certificate.
  • Guests of Clubs and discos must provide negative test evidence or evidence of full vaccination or recovery. Mask and distance requirements are not applicable.
  • The mask requirement on Weekly markets not applicable.

Further changes from next week:

  • Hardship regulation at local corona outbreaks: If a district or an independent city exceeds a threshold value in the step-by-step plan due to spatially delimited new infections, the next higher step no longer applies automatically.
  • The mask requirement on Retail parking lots occurs in stable incidents below 35.
  • Overnight for tourist purposes in mobile homes and motor vehicles on public areas and on areas open to the public is possible regardless of incidence values.
  • Employees in Discos and clubs must wear mouth and nose covering
  • For incidents under 50 must be included Offers of youth work mouth and nose covering are no longer worn.

It is no longer necessary to wear masks in schoolyards

For schoolchildren, the following also applies: From now on, they no longer have to wear a mask in the schoolyards, as Education Minister Grant Hendrik Tonne (SPD) announced on Friday. In the school buildings, however, the mask requirement remains in the hallways, stairwells and toilets. This could bring back a bit of normalcy in the schools, said Tonne. At the same time, he appealed to the schools not to be negligent. The step is possible because measures such as the mandatory regular corona self-tests continue to apply.

Prime Minister Weil: “Hard times to renounce”

The increased relaxation is due to the significantly lower number of infections and the increasing number of people who have been vaccinated, as Prime Minister Stephan Weil (SPD) said. “We all have had a very hard time of renunciation,” said the Social Democrat. It will now be possible again to meet more friends, attend more events and celebrate together. In particular, the very stressed children and adolescents could finally do more together again. However, given the spreading delta variant, people would have to remain cautious. The new Corona regulation is initially valid until July 16.
