Corona incidence in Berlin continues to rise – Berlin.de

The corona virus continues to spread in Berlin. In the past seven days, 371.6 out of 100,000 people have been shown to have contracted the virus, according to data from the management report of the Senate and the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) on Sunday. A week ago, the so-called seven-day incidence was 343.0. Nationwide, according to the RKI, this value was 446.7 on Sunday, the previous day the value was 444.3.

In total, the Berlin health authorities reported 546 new infections with the virus within one day. However, according to the Senate’s daily situation report, the number of cases for the densely populated Neukölln district is not up-to-date on a daily basis. In addition, the numbers on the weekend and at the beginning of the week are often lower than during the week – for example due to delays in reporting by the health authorities.

The number of corona patients admitted to clinics per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days was given in the situation report on Sunday as 3.6, on Saturday it was 4.1. The value plays an essential role in assessing the occurrence of the infection.
