Corona in SH: You won’t go to school without a test from Monday | NDR.de – News – Schleswig-Holstein

Status: 04/14/2021 4:50 p.m.

Everywhere in Schleswig-Holstein where school starts again with face-to-face or alternating lessons from Monday, there is a compulsory corona test. Students, teachers and all other school employees have to submit a test twice a week.

Only those who have a negative corona test are allowed to attend classes. The state provides self-tests for this, said Education Minister Karin Prien (CDU) today at a press conference. If you do not want to test yourself at school, you can also take the test in a pharmacy, at the doctor or in a community center. Proof of this must not be older than three days.

Test can be done at home

What is new is that the self-tests can also be carried out at home. Parents or pupils of legal age must confirm this in a so-called qualified self-disclosure – an abuse should be considered an administrative offense. “With this option, we would also like to accommodate the parents, who generally rate the compulsory test positively, but have concerns about testing in school,” said Prien. However, the home self-tests must be purchased privately.

Exam candidates are exempt from the compulsory test. You don’t want to make these students even more insecure. Another exception is for schoolchildren with special educational needs.

The schooling model depends on the infection rate

In most regions of Schleswig-Holstein, face-to-face classes begin again on Monday for students in grades 1 to 6. In the remaining levels, alternating instruction is given in eleven districts and urban districts, said Prien. In the Segeberg, Duchy of Lauenburg and Neumünster districts, all age groups study at a distance for the time being; Emergency care is planned for school grades 1 to 6. The infection process in Neumünster is to be reassessed on Thursday. In the Pinneberg district – with the exception of the island of Helgoland – there are alternating lessons at levels 1 to 6, while distance learning takes place in the rest. There are still classroom courses in all regions for the graduating classes.
