In Kiel, Husum, Neumünster and Lübeck, those who want to be vaccinated can receive a vaccination with the vaccine from AstraZeneca without an appointment until Wednesday.
The campaign has been running for a long time in the vaccination centers in Husum, Neumünster and Lübeck – and since Monday also in the vaccination center in Kiel. Especially in the early days the demand was great and the waiting time long. That has subsided, at least in the vaccination centers, where the campaign has been running for a long time.
The vaccination doses come from a delivery from Denmark in early May. In Kiel it is about vaccination doses that the resident doctors have returned. Time is of the essence as the vaccine expires at the end of the month.
AstraZeneca vaccinations possible eight hours a day
The special vaccination campaign takes place in Kiel, Neumünster, Husum and Lübeck daily from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Those wishing to vaccinate must bring ID and – if possible – their vaccination card as well as the Forms from the website of the Ministry of Health for vaccination with a vector vaccine. Waiting times must be expected for the campaigns, depending on how much the special campaigns are used and how much vaccine is available.
The second vaccination should then take place five weeks later – although the Standing Vaccination Commission (STIKO) recommends the second vaccination only after twelve weeks, as this increases the effectiveness. However, the second vaccination is permitted for a period of four to twelve weeks.
Timely appointments for mRNA vaccines
According to the Ministry of Health, there is currently a good chance of getting an appointment with an mRNA vaccine in the Brunsbüttel (Dithmarschen district) and Neumünster vaccination centers. With a bit of luck, you could get a current date for vaccination with a vaccine from Biontech or Moderna this week.
