Corona in MV: 382 new infections and six more deaths | NDR.de – news

In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the authorities have registered 382 new corona infections since Monday. There were six other deaths. The incidence value fell to 102.6 nationwide.

The number of registered new corona infections has risen by 382 cases in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania since Monday (as of Tuesday 4:40 p.m.). That is eight fewer infections than on Tuesday a week ago. Overall, the State Office for Health and Social Affairs (LAGuS) 30,368 infections reported in the country since March 2020. According to an estimate by the Robert-Koch-Institut (RKI) In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, 26,371 (+238) of the people who tested positive have recovered from Covid 19 disease. The number of deaths in the northeast is 857 (+6). According to the LAGuS, as of Tuesday, 237,953 vaccine doses have been administered in the northeast. According to this, 166,043 people received a first vaccination (vaccination rate 10.33 percent), 71,910 also the second (vaccination rate 4.47 percent).

The incidence value in MV is 102.6

Nationwide, the incidence value fell from 106.1 to 102.6 infections per 100,000 inhabitants within a week compared to the previous day. However, it is still well below the national average (135.2). In the Ludwigslust-Parchim district the seven-day incidence value is currently 164.3, in northwest Mecklenburg it is 127.8. The district of Vorpommern-Greifswald has an incidence value of 108.6. The LAGuS reports a value of 98.4 for the Mecklenburg Lake District, 92.7 for the Rostock and 81.5 for Schwerin. In Western Pomerania-Rügen the authorities register an incidence of 79.7 and in the Hanseatic city of Rostock of 64.1.

Currently 251 people with Covid-19 in the hospital

According to the latest figures from the LAGuS and the Ministry of Health, 251 (+8) people across the country are currently being treated for Covid-19 disease in a hospital, 72 (+3) of them are in an intensive care unit. According to the intensive care register, 41 (+5) Covid-19 patients are ventilated invasively. The register shows 511 occupied and 112 free intensive care beds for Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (as of Tuesday 5:19 p.m.).

87 new infections in Ludwigslut-Parchim

According to the LAGuS, most of the infected were or are in the district of Vorpommern-Greifswald with 7,106 (+35) infections so far. In the Mecklenburg Lake District there are a total of 6,089 (+57) cases. So far there have been 4,893 (+87) infections in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district. 2,960 (+55) infections were reported in the Rostock district. In the district of Northwest Mecklenburg, the authorities registered 2,815 (+58) people who were verifiably infected with the corona virus. The LAGuS reports 2,677 (+31) cases for the district of Vorpommern-Rügen. The state capital Schwerin continues to have the lowest total numbers with 1,997 (+27) and the Hanseatic city of Rostock with 1,831 (+32) cases.

43 active infection events in schools

The LAGuS also publishes figures on the situation in old people’s homes as well as in schools and daycare centers. Accordingly, as of Tuesday, there are active infection events in 24 geriatric care facilities (-2). 178 residents (-48) and 126 employees (+2) are affected. In addition, there are active infection events at 27 daycare centers and after-school care centers (+ -0). 31 children (+ -0) and 25 educators and employees (+1) are affected. There are also active infection events at 44 schools (+1). Ten teachers or employees (+ -0) and 49 students (+3) are affected.

Who does the statistics capture?

The LAGuS’s daily corona statistics only include people who have their primary residence in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The LAGuS also publishes regular reports on infections among guests. These are all those people who have been found to be infected in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, but who do not have a primary residence in the state.
