Corona in India Takes Many Lives, Even Industrial Bodies Urge Economic Restrictions

NEW DELHI, KOMPAS.com – A leading industry body in India urged authorities to limit economic activity to curb the spread Covid-19.

President of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Uday Kotak said the highest response was needed to cut off the spread Covid-19 in India which is massive.

Other states, including Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Assam, Andhra Pradesh, and Rajasthan have imposed curfew or lockown weekend.

Lockdown fear

Last month, Modi said, all efforts should be made to avoid lockdown.
