The number of infected people in Schleswig-Holstein is increasing only slowly
The number of infections with the new corona virus confirmed in Schleswig-Holstein rose to 1638. As of late Saturday, 70 cases more were recorded than on the previous day, the state government announced on Sunday. The number of deaths remained the same and remains at 17.
162 corona patients are currently being treated in clinics, nine more than the previous day.
Police dissolve (defiance) corona party – three times
The police in Wilhelmshaven had to dissolve the same party three times because of the applicable contact restrictions on Saturday. As the officials say, they were first called to an apartment building at 7:35 p.m., verbally warned the people present (the tenant and two guests) and directed the guests to the apartment. Just about an hour later, the patrol was called again and opened the party to the fact that an administrative offense procedure was now being initiated against them, and the party was dissolved again.
At 10:00 p.m., the police were called for the third time: this time to another apartment in the same house to which the party had now moved. The officers detained two of the three inconsiderate people. Then there was silence.
Lower Saxony has just loosened the tightened regulation
Lower Saxony’s Ministry of Health has withdrawn a recent restriction on private visits. It is about visits from family members and close friends – these should not be prohibited. Lower Saxony’s Ministry of Health announced an opinion for Sunday.
The spokesman for the ministry said that the Corona regulation, which came into force on Saturday, misses one target and needs to be corrected. “From the text of the regulation you can read that from now on visits between closest family members (parents and children) are only allowed in very few constellations in Lower Saxony. According to the text of the regulation, this also applies to the mutual visit of closest friends, ”the statement said.
The ministry announced that the regulation would be changed promptly so that visits to the closest family and among life partners as well as with a few close friends or very good acquaintances were permitted. The physical contact with people who did not belong to their own household should nevertheless be reduced to an absolutely necessary minimum, it said in the message.
Corona virus: This is how you can protect yourself against infection
It is best to sneeze or cough in a disposable handkerchief, which you then throw away. If neither is within reach, hold the crook of your arm in front of your mouth and nose. Then: wash your hands
Wash your hands regularly with soap
Do not touch the face with your hands because the pathogens of the coronavirus can enter the body through the mucous membranes of the mouth, nose or eyes and cause an infection
Keep one to two meters away from people
Protective masks help with third-party protection – but they do not reliably protect the wearer from infection
Tourists are not allowed to enter: Fears of existence on the islands
In view of the tourist ban on the East Frisian Islands over Easter due to the corona pandemic, high economic damage is expected. According to the managing director of the North Sea spa in Borkum, Göran Sell, Borkum lost almost 55,000 overnight stays on the extended Easter weekend. Borkum’s Mayor Jürgen Akkermann (non-party) said: “Almost everyone on the island is indirectly affected.”
For Wangerooge, Mayor Marcel Fangohr (non-party) expects the spa administration to lose sales of one million euros throughout the season and at least ten million euros in total. “The season is limited. You have Easter, Ascension Day, Pentecost and the summer holidays. ”Spiekeroog also actually starts the season with the Easter holidays. “Everything is empty. And of course people worry about their livelihoods, ”said Mayor Matthias Piszczan (CDU).
To protect health systems, the islands are closed to tourists and second home owners until April 18. On Wangerooge and Spiekeroog, the mayors consider an extension possible even at Pentecost.
Corona controls: police send hundreds of hamburgers away
After the introduction of fines catalogs for violations of corona requirements in Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg, the police want to carry out more checks nationwide on Sunday. At the crossings to the islands and in local recreation areas such as the Elbmarsch on the outskirts of Hamburg or on the beaches of the North and Baltic Sea, citizens should expect controls, announced a police spokeswoman. There will be more stripes.
Already on Saturday, the police had checked several vehicles at the state borders with Hamburg and sent many day trippers back home. At Tangstedt in the north of Hamburg, more than 250 vehicles were rejected, almost 100 at Wedel in the west. Cyclists and pedestrians were also rejected at the city limits.
“Usually people say they didn’t know about the entry ban,” says an official. “This is no longer credible.” If the behavior does not change, fines would have to be imposed.
There were also controls further north on the access roads to the popular St. Peter-Ording destination to prevent tourists from entering. “Our own findings and reports from the population show that despite the current restrictions, St. Peter-Ording is still a popular travel destination for guests and second home owners,” said the spokesman for the Eiderstedt district, Sven Jacobsen.
Because of the pandemic, the situation will last until April 19 Entry ban to Schleswig-Holstein for tourists, day trippers and second home owners. This also applies to entry for leisure or training purposes or deferrable measures of medical care, preventive care or rehabilitation.
The State Cabinet in Kiel approved the catalog of fines on Friday. The police can punish entry violations with 150 to 500 euros. Anyone who is in public space – with more than one person not living in the household – has to pay 150 euros, for example. Similar rules apply in Hamburg.
Fielmann prepares emergency operations for the branches
The optician chain Fielmann expects to not be able to return to normal immediately after the acute phase of the corona pandemic. If the branches are to be opened again in a kind of emergency operation, Fielmann wants to be prepared. The company had commissioned an expert from hygiene scientist Prof. Martin Exner from the University of Bonn on how to ensure more effective prevention against infections in retail, said CEO Marc Fielmann.
Exner looked at the advice and processes in Fielmann branches for the report. He would analyze the hygienic and infection risks as well as possible precautionary measures in the branch operation. The results of the report are expected to be published next week and will also be available to other retailers.

The following applies to glasses: postponement is not canceled. ”On normal working days, Fielmann sells more than 30,000 glasses in Germany.

Police dissolve demonstration
The Lower Saxony police dissolved allegedly decentralized demonstrations for another refugee policy (“Solidarity knows no borders”) in Lüchow, Hitzacker and Dannenberg on Saturday morning. According to police reports from the afternoon in Lüchow, there were 36 administrative offenses. A protester resisted and now faces criminal charges. The general injunction was disregarded, the police said. The gathering of one or two people in different locations also poses the risk that citizens will stop and form groups. This contradicts the general decree.
