The Hamburg Senate wants to announce further easing of the corona regulations on Tuesday. Large events with up to 1,000 people should then be possible again. Dietrich Lehmann reports.
650 people allowed in closed rooms
From Wednesday, events with up to 650 people are allowed in closed rooms. If there are no fixed seats for the guests, the rules are stricter: 200 people can then meet outdoors and 100 people in closed rooms. These numbers apply to events where alcohol is not served. With beer, wine and other alcoholic beverages, the rules are even stricter.
The Senate wants to allow up to 25 people for celebrations in the private sector – regardless of how many households they come from. So far, it was only allowed for ten people from a maximum of two households to meet.
The new regulation should reverse the previous prohibition principle Health Senator Melanie Leonhard (SPD) announced last week. “We want to: We have normal life when certain requirements are met.” Distance regulations, masks and contact restrictions will continue to belong in certain areas.

Corona Hotspots: Prohibition of accommodation planted
In addition to the easing, some more stringent corona rules are also planned. The authorities want a ban on accommodation for tourists from Germany Corona hotspots such as the Gütersloh district decide on. This affects travelers from municipalities in which the maximum limit of 50 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants agreed by the federal and state governments has been exceeded within seven days.
Exceptions apply to people with a negative corona test, which must not be older than 48 hours. Upon arrival at hotels, guest houses, vacation rentals, campsites and other facilities, travelers must confirm in writing that they have not been in a Corona hotspot in the previous 14 days.
