Shortly before the start of the Bundesliga game between the Rhein-Neckar Löwen and the Füchsen Berlin on Saturday evening in Mannheim, the game had to be canceled. On Friday, all of the quick tests on the foxes were negative. On Saturday, however, there were three positive cases that were confirmed with PCR tests. When the Berliners underwent another quick test in the Rhein-Neckar Löwen hall, there were “further positive results”, as stated on the Füchse Berlin website.
“It is the only right decision not to whistle the game,” said Stefan Kretzschmar, the Board of Directors Sport der Füchse. «The health of all players including the Rhein-Neckar Löwen has absolute priority. We hope that there will be no positive cases, which is unfortunately quite possible. ” All Foxes players are fully vaccinated against Corona.
On Tuesday, Pfadi Winterthur competed in the European League in Berlin and lost to the leader of Group A 29:35.
