Corona Cases Rise in Several Cities in China, Lockdown Back? All pages

As many as 300,000 local residents were tested after two local Covid-19 infections were reported on Saturday, the source of the infection remains unclear.

Imported frozen food

The infection in Tianjin has a close relationship with an employee who works at a frozen food storage factory.

These frozen products are imported from India, Pakistan, Indonesia and Myanmar.

Although the World Health Organization (WHO) says the risk of transmission from frozen food products is low.

Meanwhile, the infection in Shanghai started with a security inspector working at Pudong International Airport, who had no history of contact with imported frozen goods.

It is difficult for China to eradicate the virus corona, while the pandemic is still raging in other countries and imported goods are still being transported to Chinese ports, especially when winter arrives.

Local authorities are still trying to find the origin of the Covid-19 infection case re-emerging.

The mass testing at Binhai is one of a series of similar programs launched in cities across China in response to the coronavirus outbreak.

Last month, Kashgar City tested its nearly 4 million inhabitants and Qingdao tested 11 million people.
