Corona aid: Thuringia is planning interest-free loans as a bridge

The country wants to make interest-free loans possible for service companies. The Thuringian Minister of Economic Affairs Wolfgang Tiefensee (SPD) announced on Friday. The money is intended as interim financing until the start of the so-called bridging aid III.

Retailers and body-friendly service providers in particular have not yet been able to benefit from the federal aid programs to date. For them, the “Bridging aid III“in question. Their funds could not flow in full until March, said Tiefensee.

50,000 euros for a company

Affected companies should now be able to receive interest-free loans of up to 50,000 euros. According to Tiefensee, however, the consolidation fund, from which the special “Corona special” program is financed, has to be topped up briefly by 50 million euros. This money should come from the country’s pandemic special fund.

In terms of budgetary law, the plan has yet to be approved. According to the Ministry of Economic Affairs, coordination with the Ministry of Finance is ongoing.
