The 44-year-old Ellemeet entered the Lower House four years ago. In recent years she has spoken about care there. Among other things, she made a case for the widespread availability of the abortion pill and opposed tendering in healthcare.
The candidate committee sees Ellemeet as “the ideal number two, who, together with Jesse, can take the party to the next level” and calls her a “sharp debater and cast-iron spokesman on the complex healthcare dossier.”
GL will announce the rest of its candidate list on Monday.
