Copa America 2021 Schedule: Fighting for Semifinal Tickets

Following 2021 Copa America schedule, which has now entered the quarter-finals. Eight teams, including Brazil and Argentina, compete for four semifinal tickets America’s Cup 2021.

The 2021 Copa America quarter-finals will be held this weekend. Peru vs Paraguay became the first party on Saturday (3/7) early morning WIB, followed by the Brazil vs Chile party which kicked off three hours later.

Peru qualified from the group stage by placing second in Group B (Northern Zone) behind Brazil who won the group. Peru recorded 2 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss.

While Paraguay qualified for the quarterfinals after being in third place in Group A (South Zone), under Uruguay and Argentina as group winners. Paraguay had 2 wins and 2 losses.

Meanwhile Brazil, favorite team America’s Cup 2021, relatively smoothly passed the group stage by winning 10 points from 3 wins and 1 draw. Ecuador in the last match that made the Samba team fail to clean up.

Chile, who Brazil will face, limped past the group stage by finishing fourth in Group A which is the last slot to qualify. 1 win, 2 draws and 1 defeat are Chile’s records.

Refers to 2021 Copa America schedule, the other two quarter-finals will be held one day later, Sunday (4/7). The matches are Uruguay vs Colombia and Argentina vs Ecuador.

Uruguay was less convincing at the beginning of the group phase with one defeat and one draw. But, driven by Edinson Cavani, Uruguay managed to finish in second place in Group A after winning the next two matches.

Colombia will now try to reduce the momentum of Cavani cs in the quarterfinals. The team itself qualified after occupying the third position in Group B with 1 win, 1 draw, and 2 defeats.

The winner of Uruguay Vs Colombia will then wait for the result of the closing match of the quarterfinal series America’s Cup 2021, namely Argentina vs Ecuador.
