Cooking Oil Stock Rp. 14,000 Per Empty Liter, This is what Alfamart and Indomaret said

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Until the second day after the official distribution cooking oil one price, which has been priced at Rp. 14,000 per liter since last Wednesday (19/1/2022), still garnered a lot of enthusiasm from the public.

In response to this, PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (Alfamart) and PT Indomarco Prismatama (Indomaret) opened their voices.

It is true that he admitted that there were several outlets that might experience stock vacancies due to the high public euphoria so they were in a hurry (panic buying) buy cooking oil.

“However, starting today, distribution supplies have started to flow to stores to meet the availability of goods,” said Nur Rachman when contacted by Kompas.com, Friday (21/1/2022).

Furthermore, Nur Rachman admitted that his party is still limiting the purchase of cooking oil. This is done so that more other consumers can get cooking oil.

“However, after the number of requests and supplies has returned to normal, we will not limit the number of purchases,” said Nur Rachman.

“The point is, this is not a promo program that only lasts for a while, so consumers don’t have to worry about getting this Rp 14,000 per liter cooking oil. If demand and supply return to normal, we will definitely not limit it,” he continued.

Meanwhile, Marketing Director of PT Indomarco Prismatama (Indomaret) Darmawie Alie agreed. He said, society does not need panic buying because the stock is guaranteed by the government.

“Regarding the availability of cooking oil, the government continues to be committed to meeting people’s food needs at affordable prices. Our message is that people don’t need to worry or panic buying, shop fairly according to their needs and stay disciplined with health protocols,” he said.

He added that his party had attached a notice board informing that every purchase of cooking oil at Indomaret was limited.

“We limit it, 2 liter packaged cooking oil can be bought a maximum of 2 pieces, maximum 1 liter cooking oil can be purchased 1 pieces, and packaged cooking oil 5 liters maximum 1 pieces, said Darmawie.
