Contaminated sesame seeds, called croissants. Via tartufetta with allergens

The Ministry of Health has spread the references of two batches of 5-cereal croissants with soft fruits under the Toulon Croissanteria brand, once again due to the presence of ethylene oxide in the sesame seeds from India contained in the product. The references concerned were distributed in 4.8 kg boxes containing 60 pieces of 80 grams each, belonging to the numbers of lotto 20163 with minimum conservation term 07/04/2021 e 20185 Tmc 29/07/2021.

The croissants recalled they were produced for Dipral Srl by San Giorgio Spa in the factory in via Gilberto Petti 10/11 in Castel San Giorgio, in the province of Salerno.

This is just the latest recall caused by sesame seeds from India contaminated with ethylene oxide beyond the limits, a substance not authorized in Europe. Since 23 October, over 40 products have been recalled including sesame seeds, mix of seeds, cereals and legumes, ready meals, baked goods, sweet and savory snacks.

The Ministry of Health also published therecall notice of a batch of T&C branded truffles Temptations due to the possible presence of an undeclared fish allergen due to a labeling error. The 80 gram jars with lot number L.25121 and Tmc 05/03/2024 are interested.

temptations tartufettaThe manufacturer announces that “the product neu tartufata 80 L.25120 was labeled on 27/08/2020 with code 0626 relating to the truffle product 80g (brand Tentazioni) L.25121. Part of this last batch was labeled with the 80g tartufetta product label. The product may be incorrectly labeled, in particular it may not carry the fish allergen”.

The jars recalled they were produced by T&C Srl in the factory in via Pole 26 / A in Acqualagna, in the province of Pesaro and Urbino (identification mark IT 11/032).

As a precaution, it is recommended, especially for people allergic to fish, not to consume the product with the indicated batch number and to return it to the point of purchase.
