Containment in Dijon, the results in figures and images

Since the sanitary crisis of the coronavirus, pedestrians are less numerous in the streets of Dijon, the road traffic is in sharp decline, and improved air quality. Even if a certain release has been seen in the past few days, the effects of the confinement in Dijon are still visible.

Monday, march 30, the operator Keolis Dijon Mobility, however, has decided to extend the running hours of certain bus lines. These buses will now be able to circulate until 22: 30, which is three hours more than the first few days of containment. A growing trend on all roads managed by the DIR-Center-Is. In general, the traffic on the ring road of Dijon, has decreased by about 75% since the beginning of the confinement.

The municipal services in a mode called “degraded”

In normal times, the city of Dijon and its suburbs count 2800 agents. Since the containment, they take turns to ensure a minimum service.

With the new organization, only 250 agents are present on the ground on a daily basis. Among them, the municipal police, employees of nurseries and schools to hold the children of the carer, the service “Allô mairie”, the collection services and household waste incineration, as well as the CCAS for the delivery of meals at home.

But according to ATMO-BFC there is no need to worry for as much. The levels achieved are not currently problematic : “these are developments that we observe in the conventional way at this time of the year”.

Only recommendation is to improve the quality of the air for containment : do not over-heat his housing.
