The meeting, which would have taken several hours, will take place in the super luxurious Hotel President Wilson (a suite there costs around 60,000 euros per night), right next to the United Nations building and on the shore of Lake Geneva. Numerous American and Russian leaders have stayed at the hotel before, including Bill Clinton and Michael Gorbachev. Last week, American and Russian diplomats also met in the Swiss city, but that did not lead to anything.
