Construction site in Florida: is Michael Wendler on the verge of collapse? – Entertainment

There is a lot of work waiting for the couple in love and the future in-laws at the Wendler-Müller construction site in Florida. Did Wendler underestimate the work?

Also in the fourth episode of the documentary series “Laura & Der Wendler – Totally in love with America”, which can be seen exclusively on TV Now, it’s all about the new home in Florida. Michael Wendler (47, “No matter”) bought a house in Cape Coral for his young friend Laura (19), which he wants to restore with his own hands and his future in-laws.

But time is of the essence: the move-in should take place in a month. Laura’s parents, Gabi and Klaus, are clearly suffering from jet lag. And the sun burns mercilessly. Still work is going on. At least the facade is finished. There is still a lot to do behind the house. And the garage door is also missing the color, as Wendler emphatically notes in the direction of Klaus. In addition, the annoying fern and the cozy-looking fairy lights attached to the palm trees should be gone.

You can find Michael Wendler’s greatest hits here.

“Everything will be fine”

Wendler, who describes himself as “the motivator”, lends a serious hand, while Laura lovingly removes the delicate, innocent fern fronds and then cuts off the light chain with pliers. Everything goes into the container. Meanwhile, the Wendler pushes wheelbarrows around, wet with sweat and spluttering. “Everything will be fine,” he encourages himself and the others and admits that he would rather lie in the sun and drink cocktails. But “when it comes down to it, I can lend a hand.”

He fears, however, that Klaus, who is currently tampering with the garage door, could take home a negative memory of Florida. After all, until now the man has only toiled. But Wendler realizes to his own reassurance: “He (Klaus) likes to help.” Klaus agrees: “One hand washes the other”. The question is whether and when Wendler will be called to duty.

Does Laura run out?

During a break at the dining room table, the Wendler expresses his fear that the workforce is gradually running away from him. It is unspoken in the air that he will soon be alone with Klaus and Gabi, because daughter Adeline has school and Laura is increasingly weak.

But suddenly Adeline shows up and worries about her papa, who does indeed make it seem as if he is on the verge of collapse. Wendler sees it with indulgence that Laura takes a break from her cellphone to order food. “It’s not a job for women now. It’s really hardcore …” He also seriously wonders whether he has expected everyone a little too much. Gabi agrees and explains that women would rather swing the “make-up brush” than the hammer.

You can rely on Klaus

After the gender roles have been clearly defined, Wendler tinkers with the dry earth in front of the house. A gigantic stone rises up there, which one might think is the relic of a mysterious barrow. Wendler speculates that it could be a memorial stone with an animal carcass hidden underneath, perhaps the previous owner’s faded pet. He cannot master the monster at all and is considering bringing Klaus back to it. Laura stands next to it and pulls a pout: “My poor papi.”

But Klaus takes action without further ado, the others can hardly stop him. He does not rely on strength, but on finesse and “rolls” the stone with his bare hands over the asphalt and finally over a wooden ramp into the container.

“Mega”, the Wendler pours in praise of his workforce, even though they are a bit behind in the desired workload. But there are still more than two weeks in which the in-laws stay in Florida. One can only hope that Klaus and his group will not go into permanent full-time employment afterwards.
