Erfurt (dpa / th) – The number of building permits for apartments in Thuringia has increased. In the first half of the year, the authorities approved 2,472 projects with a total of around 3,000 apartments, mainly in apartment buildings, as the State Statistical Office announced on Tuesday in Erfurt. That was 4.2 percent or 121 apartments more than in the same period last year. More than a third of the planned new living space was in single-family houses – however, 59 fewer houses were booked than in the first half of 2019.
