Producers, managers, music video directors live in the shadow of artists. Also a music columnist, Caroff Bozaris Nguimbi, better known under the name of Caroff Debozzart, is one of these shadow workers, accompanying the career of Spirita Nanda, Team Brazza and Rudy Bourge.
Assisted by Nino Kali as second manager, Caroff Debozart says he is proud of the journey accomplished since 2015 in the career development of Pontenegrin singer Spirita Nanda. Around the one we nickname “The Diva”, it is notably an image work with which Kamina Pictures are associated for the video and Jaddy Dacosta for the photos, specifies Caroff. As for the artist’s look, it is entrusted to Adriana Talansi for the styling and to Noëlla for the Make Up. Each in his role, it is thus a real teamwork that accompanies Spirita Nanda. “No, it’s more than a team, it’s a family! When there is no remunerative event, as is the case in this crisis period, we help each other financially. Everyone knows that he can count on the other, ”he wants to correct.
It was in 2016 that Caroff Debozart created his artist management label, associating it with parallel activities such as communication and the organization of events. Three years later, he added to his range that of concert producers. “My pride is that of having worked, for example, with Spirita to help the Mwana Villages orphanage. But I think the strongest thing was the release of her album “Fuzion” and the concert that followed at the Garrison Miss Mess last November. For this concert, which brought together many renowned artists from Pointe-Noire and Brazzaville, we had no support, except that of the Cowbell company. It has been almost a month of work to organize this event with few hours of sleep. In the end, it was really a great success ”rejoices this multitasking man, who grew up in Dolisie after being born in Brazza in 1987.
Listening to the artist, working hard, never giving up even when the wheel turns in the wrong direction and knowing how to build a relational network, such is the essential toolbox to be, according to Caroff, a good manager! He regrets that today many are those who improvise manager without knowledge of the trade, seeking the light to shine more than the artist he is supposed to manage. “If these apprentice managers damage the public’s image of the profession, but the main difficulty remains especially that the city has only five festivals in the year. The local companies and businesses do not support the organization of concerts which remain financially at our expense. When you have to add all the promotional costs, you quickly understand that living here from your art is not an easy thing, ”he laments. For his part, Caroff wisely listens to those he considers to be the greats of the profession, Bébert Etou, Christian Ingani, Charlemagne Mayassi or even Bakus to exercise this noble profession of servant.
