According to the information, Freiburg is the only city in Germany with a twin city in Iran. She has been friends with the Iranian metropolis of Isfahan for 20 years. In addition, Freiburg is one of the few cities in the world with Isfahan, Tel Aviv and Madison, and has three closely connected twin cities in Iran, Israel and the USA.
“For example, students from the three countries regularly come to Freiburg and study together,” said Horn. In addition, politicians from the three cities worked on common goals and organized mutual visits for citizens. These are only individual encounters and small steps, said Horn. But they served peace.
