Thursday was a historic day in the United States Supreme Court. For the first time, a black woman took an oath as a judge there. Ketanji Brown Jackson (51) was patted by his future colleagues and his own family.
On the same day, the court concluded a session that has been marked by bitter political and legal battles. Several conservative battles have been won after Donald Trump appointed three judges.
