Condition Wuhan “serious”, medical supplies scarce Abroad

The death toll from the outbreak has risen to 41 and more than 1300 people have been infected worldwide, but most cases have been recorded in Wuhan.

Hubei also says it needs more medical supplies, such as masks and protective suits.

In the city, a traffic ban in the center applies from Sunday 26 January. Only the really necessary traffic is allowed to drive there.

China sends 1230 doctors and nurses to Wuhan

The Chinese Health Commission has sent 1230 medical staff to Wuhan. Half of the medical staff has already started. The Ministry of Industry has also supplied 14,000 protective suits.

Hospitals are flooded by new patients. Protective suits and tests for the new corona virus are becoming scarce. Earlier it was reported that the army had sent 450 doctors and nurses to Wuhan.

In response to the outbreak of the virus, major events have been canceled in many places in China and amusement parks have been closed to prevent large crowds. The Super Cup of the Chinese Football Association (CFA), which was to be held on February 5 in the East Chinese city of Suzhou, has been postponed.
