Concert series – Bruck offers summer full of music

“Kultur.on” founder Thomas Mayer has put together a remarkable program with eight concerts for the “Brucker Musiksommer”. Last Saturday the Viennese punk band “The Rumperts” kicked off the event.

The three musicians Birdy (drums), Ricky (bass) and Jacky (guitar) delivered loud punk music in its purest form with frontman Patage. Even if it wasn’t quite enough for cult bands like “Clash”, fans of hard rock enjoyed it.

The main act of the first evening was played by the 29-year-old pop and punk musician Sebastian “Sebi” Edelhofer from Burgenland. In his rousing performance he presented himself a little more melodious than the opening act, but sometimes covered it with his gaudies. The audience would have preferred more music at times.

Spannender Sound mit „The Trouble Notes“

The crowd puller and also the musical highlight of the weekend was definitely the performance of “The Trouble Notes” on Sunday evening. The composition of the band alone promises something exciting: in addition to guitarist Florian Eisenschmidt, drummer Oliver Maguire, bassist Stefan Bielik from Bruck, violinist Bennet Cerven as the frontman ensures an extraordinary sound that is difficult to classify into common rock categories. One could most likely identify the groovy high-speed sound as gypsy rock.

In any case, the audience that came not only because of the successful Bruck bassist Bielik did not stay in their seats for long. In the second half of the concert at the latest, the inner courtyard of the town hall was transformed into an atmospheric dance arena. – All in all, a very successful start to the “Summer of Music”.
