NEW YORK – Con Edison asked its customers in central Queens on Thursday to conserve energy to avoid interruptions in service, which has been overloaded in recent days as an intense heat wave hits the entire tri-state area. from New York.

The conservation appeal covers an area bounded by the Long Island Expressway and Long Island Railroad to the north, Cross Island Parkway to the east, Grand Central Parkway to the south, and Queens Boulevard to the west.
