Complete Edition will be released in December on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One and PC

Already confirmed almost a year ago on Nintendo Switch and while the title is already available on PC via Steam and GOG, the gameadventure and of horrific platforms DARQ will arrive from the month of December in downloadable edition in a Complete Edition containing the DLC « The Tower » as well as the next one to be released on PC: « The Crypt ». A physical edition is also planned and will be released for the beginning of next year. So planned on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One et PC, DARQ : Complete Edition was created by the independent American developer Unfold Games (edited by Feardemic) and tells the story of Lloyd, a boy who realizes that he is dreaming. Much to Lloyd’s misfortune, the dream quickly turns into a nightmare and all attempts to wake up are in vain.

While exploring the darkest recesses of his subconscious, Lloyd learns how to survive by bypassing the laws of physics and manipulating the structure of the dream. He will be able to walk on both walls and ceilings, thus defying all the laws of gravity (with puzzles involving bending the laws of physics and manipulating the dream world by moving objects or rotating rooms), but also camouflage when in the presence of enemies. He has no chance of winning in a direct confrontation, since the creatures he will encounter are much more powerful and faster than him. Instead, it will have to plan carefully what to do so as not to be detected. The game offers many puzzles to be solved in a psychological horror game atmosphere bathed in a unique visual style.

The developers of DARQ even dare the comparison with a sacred monster of Hollywood cinema, comparing the pace of the game to that of Shining, relying on the slow construction of a terrifying atmosphere rather than on bloody images and violence. The sound design was entrusted to Bjorn Jacobsen, known for his work on games like Cyberpunk 2077 or Hitman. Secrets, strewn throughout the levels, will be to be found and many objects and characters will reveal the story and help Lloyd find answers to the meaning of his journey.
