The economic consequences of the corona pandemic pose major financial challenges for companies, self-employed and freelancers. The grand coalition very quickly launched extensive aid programs to support companies in need. A component of these aid measures were also special corona programs by the state credit institution for reconstruction (KfW).
Schwandorf district. As of September 30th, current figures are available for the district of Schwandorf on the demand and volume of liquidity loans from KfW’s special Corona programs. “Numerous companies benefit from KfW Corona aid and have been able to guarantee ongoing operations and secure jobs with investment finance and liquidity support. The promised KfW loans are an important support for many, mainly small and medium-sized companies in our region, ”says Marianne Schieder, a local SPD member of the Bundestag.
The deputy further explains: “From the special corona programs of the state development bank KfW, 106 commitments with a total amount of 30.4 million euros had been made in the Schwandorf district by the end of September. The largest share of 18.4 million euros is accounted for by KfW entrepreneur loans for 63 small and medium-sized companies in the region. This protection fund supports jobs and the economy and ensures that the real economy is stabilized in the corona pandemic. “
