LREM deputy Yaël Braun-Pivet, president of the law commission of the National Assembly, was the guest of Jean-Pierre Elkabbach. Companies, daily life, meetings… She detailed the details of the new law establishing the vaccination pass. It must be voted on this Sunday in the final reading.

The deputy LREM Yaël Braun-Pivet, president of the law commission of the National Assembly, is the guest of Jean-Pierre Elkabbach. She detailed the details of the new law establishing the vaccine pass to fight against Covid-19 which must be voted on this Sunday. On the business side, “the law provides for a fine”, even if the senators removed it during the last parliamentary shuttle. The National Assembly wants a fine of 500 euros per employee, within the limit of 50,000 euros per company to be recorded. “It is a question of establishing, on the one hand, a dialogue between the labor inspectorate and the employer to protect our employees”, explained the deputy.

“If this dialogue is unsuccessful and if the company continues to be recalcitrant, the labor inspectorate has the possibility of imposing an administrative fine”, she further declared. “It’s not about wielding the stick, it’s about making sure that everywhere we are protected from this epidemic.”

Pass possible en meeting

Many French people were outraged. The political meetings can now be subject to the pass. “At the initiative of the group Les Républicains, we adopted an amendment which will allow the organizers of political meetings to request the health pass since before this was prohibited”, confirmed the deputy. However, the measure is not binding: “It is not compulsory”, the organizers “have the right to do it” added Yaël Braun-Pivet. “The majority to which I belong has already announced that it will do so.”
