Commissioner of the 9-1-1 Emergency Systems Bureau resigns

Tonight the resignation of the commissioner of the 9-1-1 Emergency Systems Bureau, Yazmín M. González Morales in a statement from La Fortaleza.

According to the press release, the resignation will be effective on August 28 of this year.

“By accepting her resignation, I thank her for her high sense of commitment and availability to contribute to the government, for the benefit of the people of Puerto Rico for the past two years, after she was appointed in 2018. I wish her the best of success in her future professional steps “Governor Wanda Vázquez highlighted.

For his part, the secretary of the Department of Public Security (DSP), Pedro Janer, recognized the work done by the official.

“Yazmín González has done an excellent job on behalf of our people and has achieved important goals for the 9-1-1 Emergency Systems Bureau. I appreciate their commitment and dedication to offer an efficient system and ensure the safety of the personnel, ”said Janer.

González Morales stated in his letter: “I appreciate your trust in allowing me to be part of your work team, and thus contribute to providing better tools so that all of us as citizens have a good service. There is much to improve, but with great satisfaction I can tell you that we have made a difference by comparing the performance and results of the last eight years “.

“I take this opportunity to highlight the work and commitment of the Bureau’s operational staff, as well as to acknowledge the efforts of the trusted staff in these unique times that we have had to live. To the telecommunicators and their supervisors, beings that make a difference, and with empathy and integrity, they answer each call with the sole purpose of saving lives. For this reason, I recognize and admire the courage with which these anonymous heroes make the emergence of a stranger theirs, with whom they may not have communication again. This being our greatest satisfaction and commitment every day, serving our people when they need it most ”, added the commissioner.

The governor indicated that she will soon announce who will be the person who will assume the reins of the Bureau, once the resignation of González Morales is effective.
