The Swiss Trade Association couldn’t be more unequivocal: “The Federal Council must end the lockdown immediately,” he demands before its meeting on Wednesday. “Stop lockdown” are also calling for the SVP, the protesters in Altdorf and a stop lockdown petition.
The only stupid thing is that, in contrast to other countries like Spain, Italy or France, Switzerland never had a lockdown, nor does it now – even if most of the media, including this newspaper, have been claiming it for more than a year.
No people were locked up at home, there were no rayon bans, no curfews and no travel restrictions within the country’s borders – that is what constitutes a real lockdown.
