The Dasing location is extremely attractive for companies thanks to its motorway connection. In the Lindl area, for example, companies that previously had their headquarters in other communities have also settled. The Meringer municipal council has long been concerned with the new industrial area near St. Afra and its division. Should it mainly go to one company or to several, smaller, preferably local ones? After developing the commercial space at the lake (Business Park) and in Derching, Friedberg was able to draw on abundant resources for a long time, and at first even had concerns about getting rid of it at all. Those days are over.
In Dasing, business is very important
Take Dasing, for example: The local entrepreneurs have earned a certain status for themselves in the community of 6,000 inhabitants, as good employers, engines of the local economy, sponsors. They hold together. This position gives the companies a certain influence. Against this background, some citizens are critical of the way companies deal with requests, be it with regard to space requirements, construction projects or the consumption of resources.

Citizens in Dasing and other municipalities repeatedly get the impression that entrepreneurs are preferred and that their projects are approved more quickly than those of “normal” citizens. It is therefore important for citizens to have confidence in politics to make decisions and their reasons transparent. And if a municipality relies on a mix of industries and several companies in its settlement policy, it is in principle better protected – be it against economic fluctuations or against becoming financially dependent on individual companies. In this respect, Dasing and the other municipalities in Aichach-Friedberg with their wide range of industrial areas are on the right track.
