news-text">

General Staff of the APU published summary as of 6 am March 17.

The state, position and nature of the actions of the defense forces have not undergone significant changes in recent days. The armed forces of Ukraine continued to strike at the groupings of the enemy troops, who are trying to gain a foothold and hold the defense of the captured lines.

During the day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed the command post and support units of the 35th combined arms army of the Eastern Military District of the Russian Armed Forces, the losses of the enemy are being specified.

In addition, ten enemy air targets were destroyed over the previous day: two Su-34 fighter-bombers, three Su-34SM fighters, three helicopters and a UAV. Information about the type of another downed aircraft and the death of the pilots is being specified.

The enemy, not succeeding in carrying out a ground operation, continues to inflict missile and bomb strikes on the infrastructure and densely populated areas of Ukrainian cities.

The Russians carry out cyberattacks, physically destroy repeaters of television and radio signals, and continue a massive information campaign in order to discredit the leadership of Ukraine and the defense forces.

Along with this, the enemy continues to actively spread misinformation about the conduct of the so-called “special operation” among its own population.

The occupying troops continue to suffer losses. There are big problems with the recruitment of combat units and support units. The personnel of the enemy is demoralized, which led to an increase in the number of cases of desertion and refusals of the military personnel of the armed forces of the Russian Federation to participate in the war on the territory of Ukraine.
