‘Cómicos Nuestro’ pays tribute to key artists of cinema and

The television channel dedicated to Spanish cinema Somos, produced by AMC Networks and available on different platforms such as Movistar +, Vodafone and Orange, exclusively premieres its new format Our comics, a series of self-produced reports lasting approximately 15 minutes that, each month of this year, will pay tribute to a key interpreter of our cinema, coinciding with his birthday.

José Corbacho, comedian, actor, director, screenwriter, producer and winner of the Goya for Best New Director for the film Tapas, will be in charge of presenting each of these reports that will cover the lives and careers of 12 of the artists who have contributed the most to our classic cinema: Fernando Sancho, Fernando Esteso, Lina Morgan, Rafaela Aparicio, Tony Leblanc, Antonio Garisa, Rafael Alonso, Antonio Ozores, José Sacristán, Alberto Closas, Gracita Morales and Paco Martínez Soria.

The pieces will be framed within 12 monthly programming specials with the best of the filmography of each comedian. The first of these specials is dedicated to Fernando Sancho, a handy actor known above all for his innumerable roles in the western genre and whose original report is followed by the broadcast of the legendary spaghetti ¡Viva Carrancho!. In addition, all deliveries of the space will be incorporated into the on-demand services of each of the operators after its premiere on the channel so that subscribers can see it whenever they want.

The channel has designed a series of illustrations of all the honored comedians who will star in the posters. For this, the reports will have a large number of testimonies, starting with interviews with the honorees themselves in the case of José Sacristán and Fernando Esteso; personal testimonies of their descendants such as Emma Ozores (daughter of Antonio Ozores), Alberto Closas Jr. (son of Alberto Closas) and Piti Sancho (daughter of Fernando Sancho).

There are also current colleagues and heirs of the trade such as Concha Velasco, Miguel Rellán, Secun de la Rosa, Pepe Viyuela, Luis Callejo, Pepe Carabias, Juan Muñoz, Antonio Resines, Pedro Casablanc, Nathalie Seseña, Silvia Abril or the director David Serrano.

The interviewees will talk about their lives, the anecdotes they lived with the protagonists and they will remember the legacy of these comedians who marked so many generations of viewers, starred in unforgettable moments of the seventh art and became references. Meanwhile, the guests to each of the reports will also reflect on the evolution and essence of their profession and why comedians continue to be more necessary than ever.

To accompany this new format, the television channel has also designed a series of original illustrations of all the comedians honored that will star in the posters, trailers for each piece, a physical calendar for 2021 and other promotional elements for the followers of the program. These illustrations are the work of Fernando Vicente, a Spanish painter and illustrator who collaborates with the media and magazines, among which Babelia, the cultural supplement of the newspaper El País, stands out. Vicente has also been awarded three Award of Excellence awards from the Society for News Design and has illustrated album covers and books for children and young people.
